REV is a new way to appreciate the sport F1. The sport has previously lacked the recognition in the media compared to sports that are highly commercialized such as basketball, baseball and soccer. There are still millions of Formula 1 fans in the world but they didn't have a channel where they are able to keep up to date with the schedule and show support by purchasing merchandise. The team at REV wanted to bridge that gap in a stylish manner. They selected 8 F1 races out of the year that are held in different cities, curated journals and art works dedicated to the culture that represents the city. They needed a website to represent what they have to offer.
- Brand identity (digital)
- Adobe Photoshop
REV already had a very strong brand identity and style that was set. The challenge was to translate the style that has been primarily showcased on print, in to a modern version for the web.
Based on the existing brand identity from the journal samples, a design inception sheet was created to make sure that the website follows the same brand identity.
With the brand identity that was created above, some sample mid-fi wireframes were created. The website had to be informational, but also very stylish with a strong emphasis on pictures. Different CTAs for each page were highlighted to make sure that the main message of the website is communicated to the user clearly.
After making edits on the mid-fi wireframes and solidifying the assets, these are the finalized screens. The screens embody the brand identity that match the print designs, while highlighting the unique characteristics of each city.
